I had settled on this for my next rifle based on the Weatherguard coating, price and MOA accuracy guarantee but now it seems we may never see them. I also own a Savage 110 Ultralite in 6.5 PRC- fantastic accuracy, but I just could not warm up to the plasticy stock. It weighs a little heavy per the stats, Ill admit but at that price point, its very hard to ignore especially since lightweight after-market chassis can cost as much as the base model B-14, Rem 700, Tikka T3, etc. Does that make sense from what I\ve mentioned? Id also like to hear more about the threading on the various barrels and if they are suitable for use with a suppressor i.e. I might add when I got back to the car even with all that grease and oil on my gun I still sprayed it down with WD40 and again when I got it home and dried everything off. So, too, will the rifles 2-position safety allow you to load and unload safely. this are what i like long range in a good rifle, with hornady ammo. I think in theory controlled feed is better, but they also generally dont feed well (or at all) if you try to feed by dropping one in, rather than mag feeding. that blew my mind that an OOB rifle would have that much contact. They come in the same price bracket as Tikka rifles but from what I have read, unlike the popular T3X rifles, Sauer 100 rifles Also, I think the X-Bolt Pro just isnt bringing enough to the table for doubling the price over a regular X-Bolt.
